Introduction

V-Suite CORE 2021 introduces a new file format 'V-Suite Neutral File' (VNF). V-Suite utilizes this new format to support interoperability between V-Suite Asset Databases and other CAD and Plant Design Systems.

The VNF is a SQLite database which is Public Domain. Third party developers who wish to consume or produce VNF should contact Visionaize support (support@visionaize.com) for information about the SQLite database dictionary and object definitions.

A VNF file is produced either by exporting assets from a V-Suite CORE Asset Database or by converting a CAD file to VNF.

V-Suite exported or Visionaize CAD adapter converted neutral files are not in anyway encrypted or password protected. While graphical data is stored as compressed binary objects, most data tables can be read with any open source SQLite reader.
