About System Logs

V-Suite services and applications log information, warning, debug and error information into the V-Suite system logs.

View Diagnostics and Audit Information

The System Logs Application can be accessed via the System Administration icon on the V-Suite home page.



You will not see the system logs application if you are not entitled to use the application. Click here to learn more about entitlements.


The System Logs Application presents a table with the V-Suite diagnostics and audit information and is primarily used to aid Visionaize support personnel in debugging issues with the system.

Diagnostics Information

The diagnostics table will by default display Information, Warning, Error and Fatal diagnostic events. Debug diagnostic events are by default filtered out.

Select and click a diagnostics record in the diagnostics table to view the details of a diagnostic event.

Audit Information

The audit table will display System and Administration related activity.


The following audit information is captured by the System Logs Application:

  • User Sign-in
    • Sign-in Success
    • Sign-in Failure
    • Sign-in Blocked
  • User Modification
    • Self-Registered User Added
    • User Added
    • User Removed
    • User Enabled
    • User Disabled
    • User Added to Security Group
    • User Removed from Security Group
    • User Added to Organization Role
    • User Removed from Organization Role
    • User Password Change Success
    • User Password Change Failure
    • User Login Attempts Reset
  • Security Group Modification
    • Security Group Deleted
  • Organization Role Modification
    • Organization Role Deleted
  • Authentication Setting Modification
    • Password Policy Changed
    • Authentication Mode Changed


Each of the "Sign-in" messages in the Audit Log also indicates the method used by the user to sign in. These methods include:

  • Federated - This refers to sign-ins using a Single Sign-On (SSO) identity provider.
  • Native - This means sign-ins where the user authenticates using their V-Suite credentials.
  • Mobile - This method involves sign-ins made from a mobile device, using the user's V-Suite credentials.


The audit information can be exported to a comma delimited file via the Export button.
