The viewer settings provide the following functions:

Viewer Setting

    • Orthographic – The viewer will be set in Orthographic mode.

    • Ambient – The viewer will be set to the ambient lighting mode, which produces smoother and more even lighting of the displayed models.
    • Headlight – The viewer will be set to a lighting mode, which uses a combination of ambient lighting and a directional headlight. This mode produces similar results to how scenes are displayed inside of the V-Suite CORE viewer.

Specifies if the Zoom Slider is hidden or shown.

Memory Limit

Specifies the level of memory to be used when loading Knowledge Views. The memory used at Recommended and Maximum levels is dependent upon your browser.

    • Chrome – 125MB at Recommended / 500MB at Maximum.
    • IE – 40MB at Recommended / 160MB at Maximum.
    • Firefox – 75MB at Recommended / 300MB at Maximum.

This memory level is the limit of allowable memory by the viewer. Opening a small Knowledge View, for example, will still use minimal system resources even if the memory level is at Maximum.

CAUTION is advised with the Maximum memory level, as it may result in slower performance of the viewer.

Canvas Size

  • Original Width – The width of the saved Knowledge View.
  • Original Height – The height of the saved Knowledge View.
  • Scale Ratio – The ratio applied to the canvas in order to fit the viewer into the window.
