The Intergraph DRV provider adapter provides in most cases sufficient asset information to assign non-volatile, unique asset k eys.
V-Suite CORE synchronization will use a Microstation Database Linkage Attribute to identify assets. This Microstation Database Linkage Attribute is assigned and used by Intergraph PDS and links the Microstation Graphical Element to information in the PDS Relational Database.
The Intergraph DRV provider adapter may not always be able to read this Database Linkage Attribute. In cases where the provider adapter will not be able to read the Database Linkage Attribute it will use the Assets Graphical representation to assign an Asset Key:

Application

Asset Key

PD_DESIGN (Piping)

Unique, non-volatile based on Database Linkage Attribute.

PD_EQP (Equipment)

Unique, non-volatile based on Database Linkage Attribute.

Frameworks Plus (Structural)

Unique, volatile, based on graphical representation

EE_RWAY (Electrical)

Unique, volatile, based on graphical representation

HVAC (Heating and Ventillation)

Unique, volatile, based on graphical representation

Refer to V-Suite CORE default synchronization behavior for more details on how V-Suite CORE will synchronize the asset database based on volatile and non-volatile asset keys.

The Intergraph DRV provider adapter does not allow you to change the above default definition of asset keys on the Schema Mapping Page of the CAD Source Wizard.
