Point Cloud Selection, Clipping and Categorization


Point clouds are generally produced by 3D scanners, which measure a large number of points on the surfaces of objects.

In order for 3D Modelers to efficiently create as-built assets based on the point clouds, V-Suite CORE provides the following tools to assist the modeling process:

Two operations on point clouds require the selection of points in order to determine the effect of the action (clipping and categorization). For both of these operations, point data must first be selected.
