Physical data are data that are collected in the field and processed for use in V-Suite CORE. Physical data are most commonly used during the process of creating accurate as-is 3-D models of existing facilities. They can also be used after the modeling process is complete to review and/or take measurements. V-Suite CORE supports the following types of physical data which are all managed via the Physical Data Manager:

  1. Survey Data - The XYZ point information as related to the East, North, and Elevation of the targets placed in the site work area. V-Suite CORE supports the import and export of survey data.
  2. Laser Scans - 3-D cloud of points captured by laser scanning hardware. V-Suite CORE supports the import and synchronization of laser scans from Leica, Z&F hardware.
  3. Laser Scan Regions - A cloud of points extracted from one or more laser scans inside a predefined box-shaped region in space. V-Suite CORE currently supports the creation and synchronization of regions from laser scans.
