Detach Neutral Files

V-Suite Neutral Files (VNF) can be detached via the Neutral File Tool Window.

The following criteria must be met to attach a neutral file:

The user is a member of a role with the "Customization" access right
The user has activated a Task which includes the "Attachments" scope

The "Attachments" scope category is new to V-Suite CORE 2021. The "Attachments" scope is by default not included in existing tasks. Administrators should add the "Attachments" scope category to the appropriate (standing) tasks via Task Center.

Detaching a neutral file will permanently remove the neutral file from the Asset Database and cannot be retrieved after you have published the current task.

If you wish to keep a copy of the neutral file you should first download the neutral before detaching the neutral file.

Detach Neutral File

In the Neutral File Tool Window select the Neutral Files you wish to detach and press the "Detach Neutral File" command from the context menu or from the toolbar.

The command will ask you to confirm. Press 'Yes' to detach the selected neutral file(s), press 'No' to cancel.

The neutral files are detached in the current WIP. To remove the attached neutral files from the Production View, publish the currently activated task.
