CAD Provider Adapters

A CAD Provider Adapter is a component which reads and converts proprietary CAD and Plant Design Data and provides these data to V-Suite CORE.

V-Suite CORE can synchronize the Asset Database from Asset Information provided by the following CAD Provider Adapters.

CAD Sources
AutoCAD DWG	Reads graphical information from Autodesk AutoCAD DWG Files.	AutoCAD Provider Adapter
Microstation DGN	Reads graphical information from Bentley Microstation V7 DGN Files.	Microstation Provider Adapter
Cyclone COE	Reads object data from Leica Cyclone COE Files.	Cyclone COE Provider Adapter
Plant Design Sources
PDS DRV	Reads Asset Information from Intergraph PDS Design Review/Smart Plant Review DGN files and assoicated attribute data stored in DRV label files.	Intergraph DRV Provider Adapter
PDS RIS	Reads Asset Information from Intergraph PDS produced DGN file and the associated attribute data stored in the PDS Relational Database.	Intergraph PDS Provider Adapter

To update the Asset Database from CAD or Plant Design source data you must configure a CAD Source. This will store the configuration options for specific CAD or Plant Design source data in the Asset Database. Once these configuration options have been specified and stored, the Asset Database can be updated from the CAD or Plant Design source data. You can configure and create a new CAD Source in either a new Asset Database or add a CAD Source to an existing Asset Database. The Asset Database can be updated from multiple, different CAD Sources.
