Appearance Manager authoring functions are disabled if you work in the Production View. Authoring functions, including updating a project, are always performed against a work order or a standing task, and always in a Work In Progress (or WIP) view that until it is published, is only visible to users working in the work order or standing task.


 

The Appearance Manager allows you to add, delete or edit appearances. It also allows you to set a default appearance, copy and paste appearances, and search for assets that use a particular appearance.

Authoring functions, including adding, deleting and editing appearances, are always performed against a work order or a standing task, and always in a Work In Progress (or WIP) view that, until it is published, is only visible to users working in the work order or standing task  Working with appearances is disabled in the production view.

To access the Appearance Manager, enable the Customization Tool Window and click on the Appearances bar.


Rename an existing appearance

    1. Select the appearance in the Appearance Manager.
    2. Right click and select the Rename command in the Context Menu.
    3. Enter a new name for the appearance in the highlighted box.


Delete an existing appearance

    1. Select the appearance in the Appearance Manager.
    2. Click on the Delete button on the Toolbar or Context Menu.
    3. Click Yes to confirm deletion.

You can only delete an appearance that is not being referenced by any assets


Edit an existing appearance

    1. Select the appearance in the Appearance Manager.
    2. Click on the Properties button.
    3. Edit any of the fields in the General or Advanced Tabs
    4. Click Apply when done or click Reset to discard all changes

Appearance Manager will be disabled when multiple projects are opened. You must open a single project in order to customize an appearance.
