System Requirements
V-Suite CORE 2021 and later
V-Suite consists of server and client applications & components. The V-Suite Client application (V-Suite CORE) is installed on the user's computer (1 in diagram below).
The V-Suite CORE Server (2 in diagram below) will host the V-Suite Enterprise & License Server and Microsoft SQL Server. While all these server applications can be installed on a single server without any issues, customers will typically install Microsoft SQL Server on a dedicated database server (3 in diagram below).
V-Suite CORE Client (1)
System Requirements:
Windows 7, 8, 8.1, 10, 11
Microsoft .NET Framework 4
Hardware Recommendation:
CPU Type |
Multi-Core Intel Xeon or I-Series (5,7) processor or AMD equivalent. Highest affordable CPU speed rating recommended. |
Memory |
8 GB RAM is usually sufficient for a typical client session. |
Disk Space |
3 GB or more of available hard-disk space for installation |
Graphics Card |
A dedicated graphics processor (also called a graphics card, video card, or GPU) lets you experience better performance with V-Suite CORE graphics intensive operations, however modern integrated GPU's (for example Intel i5, i7 integrated GPU) or graphics cards with equivalent performance provide adequate graphics performance for most operations. |
Network and Firewall Requirements:
There is a substantial amount network traffic between the client application and database server. A low latency network connection between client and database server is highly recommended. Currently, the system works best on a LAN. Direct TCP/IP connection required. Connection through firewall currently only supported through an externally configured adapter (i.e., established VPN connection). The V-Suite CORE client installation will automatically attempt to add the necessary program exceptions to the Windows Firewall.

V-Suite CORE Server (2)
The V-Suite CORE server hosts the Visionaize Enterprise Server and License Server. The Enterprise Server (VES) provides login services and broadcasts database changes to connected V-Suite CORE clients. The License Server (VLS) provides floating license services to V-Suite CORE clients in the LAN. Both VES and VLS are lightweight services and require minimal hardware and network resources.
System Requirements:
Windows Server Windows Server 2003, 2003 R2, 2008, 2008 R2, 2012, 2012 R2, 2016, 2019
Microsoft .NET Framework 4
Network Requirements:
The system works best on a LAN, direct TCP/IP connection is required. Connection through a firewall is only supported through an externally configured adapter (i.e., VPN connection). VES and ILS each listen at an inbound TCP port for client requests.

V-Suite CORE Database Server (3)
The database server provides data services to connected V-Suite CORE clients and to V-Suite CORE Services. Customers who do not have a Microsoft SQL Server Enterprise/Standard Edition license may choose to install Microsoft SQL Server on the same computer as the Enterprise Server. You must manually install and configure the Microsoft SQL Server.
System Requirements
Microsoft SQL Server 2012, 2014, 2016, 2017 or 2019 (Express edition is supported, Standard or Enterprise Editions are recommended).
Please consult Microsoft documentation for hardware and software requirement based on your version of SQL Server.
These minimum requirements only apply for a SQL Server instance for V-Suite CORE. Please note that the SQL Server Installation for V-Suite WEB (5 in diagram above) has additional requirements. Customers who plan to install a SQL Server instance for both V-Suite CORE and V-Suite WEB must meet the following minimum requirements: |
Network Requirements
There is a substantial amount of network traffic between V-Suite CORE clients and database server and although a connection through VPN is supported it is highly recommended that V-Suite CORE clients connect to the database server over a high bandwidth, low latency network connection.
